From parasitic wasps to clean substrates: How food safety is monitored in the greenhouse

January 1, 1

According to the WHO, unsafe food causes over 200 illnesses around the globe, from diarrhea to cancer. Food can become unsafe when it is exposed to harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites or chemicals. Over the last few years our food-chain has become increasingly complex, with different players and global distribution. Because of that, the risk of food being unsafe for consumption is only increasing. At Grodan, we believe every player in the food chain, including ourselves, has an important role to play in securing food safety. That is why we draw attention on Sunday, June 7th (World Food Safety Day), to the importance of safe food in the entire chain.
